To all of the teachers and educators out there, congratulations!

As this school year tumbles to an end, you have once again performed amazing feats of educational prowess and joy while facing down a tsunami of sanitizing spray and uncertainty.  As we continue to balance on the razor’s edge between pandemic and endemic, please take time to reflect on all the incredible things you have accomplished this year!   

For STEM Pre-Academy, we are proud to say it’s been a productive year of gathering, activity, and sharing.  Coming this July, we’ll be releasing a compendium of all the lessons and activities that have been shared during the last year.  Stay tuned!

At STEM Pre-Academy, we are already looking to the future and planning for the Summer and the 2022-2023 school year.  To that end, we have a small, but vital, request:

This summer, we are excited to be hosting a mini virtual workshop on Graphic Design: Communicating with Impact! We recently piloted the workshop with students from Washington Middle School and we’re looking forward to sharing the application of graphic design for posters, presentations, and infographics. If you are interested in attending this workshop, please pre-register!
 

There are some great things happening over at the STEM Pre-Academy website!  

The GEER-funded STEAM Entrepreneurship and Research Network Project (STEAMER) is wrapping up an incredible year—be sure to check out all the great stuff that has been accomplished on the STEAMER group pages.

Also under the STEAMER project umbrella, STEM Pre-Academy was proud to host the Save Seeds, Save Our Future workshop. The workshop was a fantastic dive into the growing importance of seed saving, the techniques behind the practice, and wonderful information on the application of seed saving in the classroom.
