Binocular – Celestron Outland X 8×42

The Celestron Outland X 8×42 Binoculars give students a closer look at organisms, landscapes, and other features that are difficult to observe from a distance. With 8× magnification and 42 mm objective lenses, these binoculars are well suited for outdoor STEM investigations, including bird and wildlife observations, ecosystem surveys, geology studies, and other field-based activities.

For middle school science, binoculars can turn a simple outdoor observation into a more systematic investigation. Students can observe organisms without approaching or disturbing them, compare species found in different habitats, identify patterns in animal behavior, or document changes in an environment over time. They can also be incorporated into transect, biodiversity, and schoolyard ecology investigations.

The binoculars feature a 7° angular field of view, approximately 4 m (13.1 ft) close focus, and multi-coated optics. They are waterproof and nitrogen-purged to help prevent internal fogging, making them particularly useful for outdoor and field activities.
