Are you looking for a marine science education community on Maui? Would you like to gain access to free, engaging, tools and resources for teaching about the ocean? We would like to invite you to our Ocean Science and C-MORE Workshop with STEM Pre-Academy, NOAA, and Oceania, our local chapter of the National Marine Educators Association! Don’t miss out on this opportunity to dive into marine education with your local colleagues!
In this half-day session, you’ll learn with our team of educators and other teachers:
- Explore C-MORE Science Kits available for you to check out for free on Maui, with topics including ocean acidification, marine debris, and plankton
- Find out more about Oceania and do some fun hands-on marine science activities
- Learn about the Ocean Literacy Principles and how to connect them to your classroom teaching and learning
- Enjoy coffee and refreshments!
This opportunity is open to teachers of all grades and can connect to a wide range of Next Generation Science Standards in addition to the Ocean Literacy Principles.
