This activity is a follow-up to the Roof Design Challenge Activity 1. Students continue to use the Engineering Design Process (EDP) to design and build a roof including a solar water heater panel that will not leak when exposed to simulated rain. Students will collect measurable data using a paper grid to help with their analysis of the roof design in the IMPROVE step. The engineering notebook documents student work of the engineering design process and addresses all 8 of the NGSS Science and Engineering Practices (SEP).
