Join us for a Solar Design Workshop with Dr. Aaron Hanai, Associate Professor of Engineering and Physics at Kapi‘olani Community College.

In this 3-hour session, you’ll see how to engage your students in the design of customized solar panel solutions for their school campuses by using 3D modeling, solar science, and energy analysis through simulations. 

• Use CAD software to design three-dimensional models of your school buildings.
• Design and optimize your photovoltaic panel layout to work most efficiently with the movement of the sun during different seasons.
• Use computer simulations to analyze the performance of your designs.
• See how engineering principles can guide the optimization of energy generation.
