Who We Are

STEM Pre-Academy is an initiative of the Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation (OVPRI) at the University of Hawai‘i. Our directive is to amplify the impact and extend the reach of the University of Hawai‘i research and innovation to grade 4 to 8 teachers and students at public and public charter schools statewide.

We are firmly grounded in the premise that teacher dedication and ingenuity are the keys to success in the classroom. Employing teacher interest and inquiry as a guide, STEM Pre-Academy initiatives provide mentoring, material, and technical support that enriches both educators and students, and yields an outstanding formation of our future leaders.
