An engineering design activity that introduces the Aerodynamic concepts (lift, drag, and gravity) for students to apply in the design and creation of a whirligig to maximize the time of descent. The engineering notebook documents student work of the engineering design process and addresses all 8 of the NGSS Science and Engineering Practices (SEP).
